This feature greatly reduces the risk of injury to the horse. The small opening in the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, yet unlimited water. Rather than being restricted to a non-grass environment to control intake, horses are free to exercise and socialize as part of the herd. The lightweight muzzles resist rubbing and chafing and will not rot.

How To Fit the Muzzle:

• There should be ample room around the bucket of the muzzle. It should not be tight; you should be able to fit at least 2 fingers room at the front and back.
• The chin should not touch the back of the muzzle.  
• It is advisable to watch the horse / pony eat to check there is enough room.
  
• There should be at least an inch gap between the horse’s muzzle and the base of the Grazing Muzzle.
  
• The Grazing Muzzle should be removed and checked at least once a day and not left on 24 hours a day.
