The Winderen Thermo Silver Stable Wraps are designed to be a helpful treatment for mud fever (also known as pastern dermatitis or greasy heel) in horses. They work by combining antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties with a protective and healing environment for the affected skin. The silver wraps also help to keep the legs warm without overheating so ideal for recovery after exercise or when stabled.

We recommend using the Winderen Thermo Training Bandages to keep the silver wraps securely in place.

The silver stable wraps offer several benefits:

  • Antibacterial / Antifungal properties: silver helps reduce skin infections and promotes healing.
  • Moisture control: helps keep the skin dry, reducing the risk of bacterial growth.
  • Odour control: silver helps with odours associated with infection or build-up.
  • Promotes healing: may help with minor wounds, skin cracks, or irritations.
  • Breathable and ideal for overnight leg care, moisture control, and skin protection.
  • Use as an alternative to stable bandages to keep the legs warm and maintain circulation.
  • Reduces inflammation.

Key features:

  • 3‑layer nanotech design with a silverion inner lining, Thinsulate insulation, and a cotton outer.
  • The wraps remain soft and fluffy, avoiding compression even after multiple washes.
  • The surface of the wraps are designed to prevent shavings and straw from sticking to the material. This makes them very practical, especially for those who wrap their horses daily.
  • Can be used on both the front and hind legs.
  • Approximately 68 × 48 cms.
  • Sold as a pair
