The Zephyr Grazing Muzzle - The Zephyr Muzzle is similar to the Ultimate Muzzle in that it has nostril holes and a rectangular mouthpiece. However, it is shallower like standard muzzles, to accommodate larger jaws in chunky ponies and small cobs.

The Zephyr Muzzle attaches to your existing headcollar with velcro straps. We strongly recommend that you use this product with a headcollar with a safety break away strap.

The Zephyr Horse Grazing Muzzle is ideal for metabolic challenged horses and ponies. The small opening in the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, yet unlimited water. Rather than being restricted to a non-grass environment to control intake, horses are free to exercise and socialize as part of the herd. A safe and gentle way to help control your horses diet.

The Zephyr Grazing Muzzles features are as follows: Please click on the additional images tab above too!

  • Larger Nostril Holes for breathability and comfort.
  • Solid chin piece to minimise rubbing.
  • Rectangular mouth holes.

The Zephyr Muzzle is excellent value for money and will not only help with your horses' diet but also help control laminitis and obesity too!

This Grazing Muzzle is available in the following sizes:

  • COB
Muzzle Size Will Fit Circumference of the Muzzle Nose Part Height at Back of Muzzle Height at Front of Muzzle Size of Grazing Hole
 COB chunky ponies, small horses, small cobs, 500-800 lbs, 13.3 hands to 14'3 hands 60CM 15cm 15cm 3 x 5cm

How To Fit The Zephyr Muzzle:

  • There should be ample room around the bucket of the muzzle. It should not be tight; you should be able to fit at least 2 fingers room at the front and back.
  • The chin should not touch the back of the muzzle.
  • It is advisable to watch the horse / pony eat to check there is enough room.
  • There should be at least an inch gap between the horse’s muzzle and the base of the Grazing Muzzle.
  • The Grazing Muzzle should be removed and checked at least once a day and not left on 24 hours a day.
